Eligibility Timeframe
The 2011 awards will recognize achievements since July 1 2010, with the following exceptions:

The Best New Company category recognizes companies in existence since July 1, 2009
-
There is no timeframe for the Lifetime Achievement Award category and for web site, blog, and app entries (it doesn't matter when the nominated web site, blog or app was first published)
Entry Deadlines

The 2011 entry deadlines are

July 27 - Early-bird deadline. Discounted entry fee of $105 per entry

August 31 - Entry deadline. Entry fee of $135 per entry
-
Late entries will be accepted through September 30 with payment of $35 late fee per entry in addition to entry fee
New Categories
-
Non-Profit or Government Organization of the Year, recognizing the achievements of organizations run by or for women
-
Six New Product or Service of the Year categories, recognizing new products or services introduced to the marketplace since July 1, 2010, created by or for women
-
13 new Communications/PR Campaign of the Year categories, recognizing excellence in public relations, press relations, and publicity programs by or for women during the eligibility period
-
7 new Marketing Campaign of the Year categories, recognizing excellence in marketing by or for women during the eligibility period
-
Smartphone or Tablet App of the Year, recognizing excellence in smartphone and tablet apps produced by or for women. There is no eligibility period requirement for this category.

Video of the Year, recognizing excellence in videos produced by or for women during the eligibility period.
Changed Categories

The Mentor of the Year categories is now called Mentor or Coach of the Year
Eliminated Categories

Business Turnaround of the Year

Environmental Stewardship Program of the Year (these programs instead may be entered in the Community Involvement Program of the Year category)

Women's Business Association of the Year (these organizations instead may be intered in the new Non-Profit or Government Organization of the Year categories)

Advertising Campaign of the Year (ad campaigns instead may be entered in any number of the new Marketing Campaign of the Year categories)
Shipping Fees
Shipping fees are instituted this year. Honorees who are not represented at the awards dinner to accept their award(s) will be assessed a shipping fee for the shipment of their award(s). Shipping fees will be as follows:
• U.S. $50 per Stevie Award trophy
• U.S. $5 per Finalist certificate
Unless otherwise specified, shipping fees will be automatically charged to the credit card to which entry fees were charged. If entry fees were not charged to a credit card, you will be asked to pay shipping fees by credit card, check (written on a U.S. bank), or wire transfer.
Note that awards will not be shipped to honorees who did not accept them at the awards banquet until shipping fees have been paid.
