Q: What are the Stevie Awards?
A: The Stevie Awards are the world's premier business awards.  The mission of the Stevie Awards is to recognize and generate public awareness of excellence in the workplace.

Q: How many different Stevie Awards competitions are there?
A: There are currently four Stevie Awards competitions: The American Business Awards, The International Business Awards, The Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
   The American Business Awards are open to all companies with operations in the U.S.A.

   The International Business Awards are open to all companies worldwide.
   The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are open to all women executives and business owners worldwide.
   The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are open to all customer service and sales departments, teams, and professionals worldwide.

A: The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are an awards program produced by the Stevie Awards. The mission of these awards is to recognize the accomplishments of customer service, call/contact center, and sales professionals worldwide.

A: The awards were founded in 2006.

Q: What are the categories?
A: There are more than 90 categories, recognizing customer service and sales professionals, teams, and organizations. There are quite a few new categories this year. For a list of categories,

Q: What do winners receive?
A: Category winners receive a Gold Stevie® Award, a magnificent trophy designed by the same company that makes the Clio and Emmy Awards. Category finalists will receive a Silver or Bronze medal, depending on their score in final judging, and will have the option to purchase Silver or Bronze Stevie Awards.

Q: What are the benefits of submitting entries?
A: The employee-relations benefits can be significant. When you submit entries, you're telling your employees that you recognize and appreciate their accomplishments and believe that their achievements are worthy of recognition.
   The benefits of becoming a Stevie winner will also be significant. Stevie winners can expect to receive a tremendous amount of publicity.


Q: What sort of publicity can Stevie Award winners and Finalists expect to receive?
A: For starters, the awards ceremonies will be broadcast on radio throughout the U.S.A. and later videocast on the Internet.

Q: Who can be nominated?
A: Any for-profit or non-profit organization or individual anywhere in the world can be nominated.

Q: Who can submit entries for consideration?
A: Any person, group, or organization may submit entries.

Q: Does a company have to be publicly held to be able to submit entries?
A: No, any for-profit or non-profit organization or individual can submit entries.

Q: When is the entry deadline?
A: The final entry deadline for the 2012 awards is November 18.

Q: Are there entry fees?
A: Entry fees are $200 per entry in the categories that recognize the achievements of individuals and $375 per entry in the categories that recognize entire organizations, teams and departments and new products and services.  Add a $35 late fee for entries submitted after November 18.

Q: Are entry forms kept confidential?
A: Yes. The organizers ensure that only authorized judges will review entries, and that information about nominees is not released to anyone else without prior approval.  Stevie Award-winning entries will be published on the web site, but winners will first have an opportunity to redact any confidential or non-public information from their entries.

Q: Who are the judges?
A: Preliminary-round judges are qualified business professionals around the world. Final-round judges will be members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors.

Q: How can I apply to become a judge?
A: To complete the application to participate in the preliminary round of judging,
click here. If your application is accepted you will be able to participate at your convenience over the Internet.  You can still be a judge and submit entries - you won't be assigned categories in which you're an entrant.

Q: When will the awards ceremony take place?
A: The awards gala for the 6th annual awards will be held in late February 2012, date and setting to be determined.

Q: What will it cost to attend the awards dinner?
A: Tickets for the gala will be $405 each, or $3,900 for a table for 10.

Q: How many Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners will there be?
A: The number of winners will be determined by the number and quality of entries submitted. All entries that receive a high average score in preliminary-round judging will automatically become Finalists. Final judges will have a lot of leeway in determining the distribution of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.

Q: Will Finalists receive an award?
A: Yes, all Finalist will be conferred Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie recognition.

Q: Will honorees be able to purchase duplicate awards?
A: Yes. Gold Stevie winners will be able to purchase duplicate trophies and/or Stevie Winner certificates and plaques. Silver and Bronze winners will receive Silver and Bronze medals, and will be able to purchase Silver and Bronze Stevie trophies, Stevie Winner certificates and plaques.
