Nomination Title: JBK Associates: Your Link to Achievable Growth

   1. Tell the story about what this nominated company achieved in 2004 (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

By 2004 – with less than two years in her own business -- competitors have come
to respect JBK Associates, a retained firm that specializes in executive searches
in the healthcare and consumer products industries.

Overall, Kampf attributes her growth to an intrinsic belief that success is
directly linked to an in-depth knowledge of each client’s corporate culture. This allows for a more streamlined search process so she can deliver a highly diverse slate of quality candidates on a timely basis. And anecdotal evidence indicates her
strategy works:  Based on her years in the industry, her candidates remain with
their new companies significantly longer than the industry norm.

Kampf, who is continually raising the bar for executive search, is involved in the
process, from business development through screening of candidates. And, unlike
other search firms, Kampf’s relationships with current and former candidates is
equally as strong as her relationships with clients …which helps her overcome
negative impressions of the industry among both clients and candidates.

Because executive search is highly competitive, Kampf has focused her services
on two areas: the pharmaceutical and consumer products industries.  Her insights
into client needs is built upon her experience as a client for almost two
decades in sales, marketing, business and new product development for multinational companies that included involvement in the recruitment and retention of employees for her divisions. She also added a second service -- It’s Just Write -- to help candidates become more appealing through enhanced writing skills for both
business and personal correspondence.

JBK’s excellent track record placing candidates in senior marketing and sales has
resulted in exponential growth from 2003-2004, at a time when some others had
seen their businesses decline or experienced only minor increases coming out of
this recessionary period.
