Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated executive during the eligibility period (up to 500 words):

Rochelle Newman-Carrasco has been a lightening bolt throughout the U.S. Hispanic marketing and advertising community, both inside and outside of Walton|Isaacson (wi). Since last year she has stormed her way through campaigns, pitches, awards, client management and board and mentor roles. In the first half of last year in order to grow Walton Isaacson’s Hispanic marketing discipline, she brought on Caesars Entertainment and White Memorial Medical Center, while simultaneously expanding the pre-existing Lexus campaigns. For Lexus, she created the first ever ground up Lexus commercial for the Hispanic market in the history of the brand. Since then she has worked hard maintaining the partnership between Walton|Isaacson and our Hispanic market clients and their audiences.

Throughout the years, she has been a strong asset to the company by working on individual as well as team projects. For the past two consecutive years Walton|Isaacson has won one of the most prestigious agency awards, known as the Diversity Supplier of the Year Award--a large part of winning that award was due to the contributions of executives, such as Rochelle. Rochelle Newman- Carrasco is truly a strong example of the best type of executive a business would be grateful to have.

Her tower of projects and achievements don’t stop there. Not only does she contribute to Walton|Isaacson but she is also a hard and dedicated worker on outside projects. For the 7th year in a row, she joins a roster of industry leaders as part of the curriculum for Think LA’s advertising education program. Her class is based upon multicultural marketing insights and provides real-world case studies of companies that are using innovative and successful techniques to reach multicultural consumers.

Newman-Carrasco is currently a blogger and contributor to Ad Age. There, she writes blog and articles on multiple topics of interests including but not limited to marketing and multicultural efforts. The blog is specifically targeted and arranged in order to target the multicultural marketing communities, specifically those of the Hispanic markets and demographics. As a member of the Hispanic community, she has a strong influence on the marketing tactics towards those of the targeted audience. At Florida Statue University, she also currently serves on the board of the Center for Hispanic Marketing Communications department: a center that is innovative in research, education and training tactics for both students and professionals.

Rochelle Newman-Carrasco has a lot on her plate when it comes to service business and her work, but she is never full. She has accomplished a lot in her career and is only preparing for what she is about to face in the years to come.

Born on a small island near Puerto Rico, called Manhattan, Newman-Carrasco has spent 30 years specializing in US Hispanic marketing. She has contributed to the development of culturally attuned strategies for some of the nation's top marketers, including Procter & Gamble, and General Foods, to name a few. Currently based in LA, Ms. Newman-Carrasco oversees Hispanic marketing initiatives at Walton|Isaacson. Prior to Walton|Isaacson, Ms. Newman-Carrasco spent 15 years as co-founder and CEO of Enlace Communications, Inc. She launched the agency after her tenure as the President of FoVa-West, Grey Advertising's Hispanic division.
