Nomination Title: Naomi Troni, Global Chief Marketing Officer

Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated executive during the eligibility period (up to 500 words):

Naomi Troni is Euro RSCG Worldwide’s global chief marketing officer. Appointed to the role in 2010, she is, at 33, the youngest executive to have reached this level within a global advertising network. Working within an organization that handles more global accounts than any other agency network (as measured by Ad Age), she is responsible for managing all global new business efforts and marketing practices, both internally and externally. Naomi manages these considerable challenges with a strength of force and targeted focus that has led her to be described by David Jones, global CEO of Havas and Euro RSCG Worldwide, as “one of the company’s brightest stars.”

Since Naomi joined the global marketing team, Euro RSCG has seen major new business success, winning international brands such as Credit Suisse, AkzoNobel’s Dulux, and Pernod Ricard, plus major digital wins that include IBM, EDF, Heineken, and being named to the Unilever global digital roster.

Naomi has been the driving force behind the reinvigoration of Euro RSCG’s thought leadership program. The overhaul involved the renaming and redesign of the network’s global studies (Prosumer Reports), as well as a more efficient distribution plan for sharing materials with clients, media, and employees across the network (view links below).

Naomi has also rejuvenated Euro RSCG’s internal network communications with a series of initiatives that have broken down boundaries between offices. This has included a complete revamp of the company intranet, MyEuro, the streamlining of daily and monthly network communications, and the introduction of thought leadership webcasts. In addition, she spearheaded a welcome pack and microsite to engage new employees immediately in the agency brand (video 1). This spring, Naomi led the Royal Wedding Tweetup, forging a stronger collective social media presence for the Euro RSCG family (video 2). Through such efforts, she has realized the goal of creating a smarter and fully integrated communications network to encourage a more informed, productive work environment.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Creative Business Ideas—a practice central to Euro RSCG’s strategic approach to growing client businesses—Naomi led the team behind THE CREATIVE BUSINESS IDEA BOOK: TEN YEARS OF BREAKTHROUGH THINKING. Since its launch this summer, the book has
received much media attention, and Naomi has had several related op-eds published on Huffington Post and CNBC.com. To find out more, visit

Naomi is also very involved in Euro RSCG’s corporate social responsibility efforts and firmly believes it is incumbent upon the communications industry to use the power of its creativity to contribute to the greater good. One Young World, the premier global youth leadership summit, is one of these initiatives. Launched by Euro RSCG in 2009, it brings together delegates aged 25 and under from every one of the world's 192 countries. The inaugural summit was held in London in 2010 with counselors that included Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Bob Geldof, and Kofi Annan. This year’s summit takes place in Zurich in September (video 3).
