Nomination Category: Company/Organization Categories
Nomination Sub Category: Women Helping Women Award

Nomination Title: Carolyn Kepcher, President

Describe for the judges the activities and accomplishments of the nominated individual or organization during the eligibility period (up to 500 words):

During the last year, Carolyn provided considerable support and continually
contributed to the development of women in business, both to the working women
community as a whole as well as to individuals on a one-on-one basis, through
personal interaction and via multiple channels.

She continually promoted women's issues in the workplace, hosting a series of
features on TV offering career advice to women, provided a forum to assist
working women via workherway.com, wrote a weekly column on career advice in the
New York Daily News, gave webinars advising women on starting their own
businesses and responding to their individual questions, including a webinar in
May 2010 for the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business), and
throughout the entire year spoke frequently on behalf of women's workplace
issues and causes.

Carolyn’s workherway.com website, launched in October 2009, provided access to
herself and over 100 other career and business experts to directly respond to
questions from individuals, while also providing information, mentoring,
collaboration, and advice regarding anything and everything related to the
working woman.

In addition, Carolyn has also tirelessly promoted and supported grants and
assistance programs to help women confronted by the economic difficulties this
past year, and has worked for many charities as well, including recent efforts
in raising contributions for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as but
one example.

I do not think you could find a person more devoted than Carolyn to helping
women in the workplace and to improving the success of working women via her
leadership, kindness, inspiration, and dedication to the working woman.

As a result of that dedication, among other recent honors received in the past
year, Carolyn was awarded in March 2010 the Global ATHENA Young Professional
Leadership Award “for professional excellence, service to the community and
active assistance in helping emerging leaders achieve their full leadership
potential.”

Carolyn’s presentations always provide significant and meaningful career advice
and guidance to women, and as a result, Carolyn is a much sought-after speaker,
so much so that Toastmasters International just announced her as their 2010
Golden Gavel Recipient as the most outstanding speaker this year.

For these many reasons, and numerous others not mentioned here too, Carolyn
Kepcher is an excellent and very worthy candidate for The Stevies Women Helping
Women Award.
