Hyundai America’s sales team has continued the record breaking streak they have
been on. Not only have they reshaped the perception of the brand, they are
earning sales at a time when many in the US market are not.

Led by Dave Zuchowski, EVP of sales, Hyundai North America has improved market
share, their retail network, and the customer relationship.

ACHIEVEMENTS

•In July 2010, Hyundai launches campaign using digital, radio, social media,
experiential, CRM, Facebook and point-of-sale components. Everyday consumers
were filmed in unscripted, unedited test drives.

•Hyundai Sponsors sporting events: PGA Tours opening tournament, The Sun Bowl,
Us RallyCross, FIFA World cup, and the Superbowl, with an integrated viral
online campaign.

•Hyundai hooked up with YouTube sensation Pomplamooose for musical holiday
themes for their new vehicles.

•Launched the Hyundai Online Service Scheduling Program streamlining to improve
scheduling and resource utilization for dealerships, resulting in improved
customer service and more efficient service operations.

•Hyundai Dealerships get new consistent look to keep pace with the billions
invested in quality vehicles. Many dealerships will also upgrade to provide
special environments for new luxury models.

•Hyundai offers the Hyundai Assurance banner that includes America’s Best
Warranty, five years of unlimited mileage roadside assistance, and the
innovative job-loss protection program. Hyundai also guarantees your new
Hyundai’s resale value .

Results:

•Hyundai brand equity gained more than four points in the 2010 Harris Poll
EquiTrend® survey. Hyundai’s improvement topped all but one other manufacturer.

•Kelley Blue Book’s reports that for the first time ever, Hyundai has ousted
Honda and Toyota to take the No. 1 spot in brand loyalty on kbb.com for Q2 2011

•Hyundai earned the No. 6 ranking on the 2010 Customer Loyalty Leaders list
which showcases the results of an annual survey by Brand Keys. Hyundai was one
of only two car brands in the top 50

•Hyundai was the most-improved nameplate in the J D Power and Associates 2011
Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study?. Hyundai moved up
13 rank positions and 33 points to place 15th in 2011.

•Hyundai wins numerous awards for quality, value, and reliability throughout the
year.

•In July, Hyundai sold its 100,000th vehicle achieving 40 miles per gallon
highway fuel economy. Hyundai outsold all other automakers’ 40 mpg offerings.

•In May 2011, Hyundai Motor Co posted gains of 20% while almost all other major
car companies reported declines of 3.7%.

•Hyundai used car leasing businesses increase as consumers perceive greater
value on trade-in and after sales.

•Hyundai’s new U.S. target for 2011 t is 624,000 units, 16 percent higher than
last year’s sales figure of 538,228 units, and would represent a 5% market share.

MOVING FORWARD

Hyundai continued to report record sales months throughout 2011. Where sales
fell flat 2011 had to do with factories’ capacity to keep up. Hyundai will
increase production by 8% for 2012.

Dave Zuchowski, a 30-year veteran of the automotive industry, joined Hyundai
from Mazda North America where he served as vice president of sales and field
operations. He began his career in 1980 at Ford Motor Company as a sales
associate. Zuchowski earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the
University of Washington.
