Nomination Title: Mitsue Lincicum, Waikiki International Frontline Sales Agent

Tell the story about what this nominee achieved since the beginning of July 2010 (up to 500 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

This Hawaii-based frontline sales agent has truly exceled in her role in 2011,
ranking No. 1 at our Waikiki site. Her performance by the numbers:
• 388 tours with 103 net sales (closing rate of 26.5%)
• $2,512,400 net volume with an 86% retention (no deposit volume)
• $6,475 Volume Per Guest

Within her own company, the performance will earn her a special annual award as
one of the top sales persons in the organization.

Her site is the only one within our company that services a full Japanese
international clientele, and this nominee has embraced the opportunity to excel
in sales to this market – even in the wake of the economic upheaval resulting
from the country’s tragic natural disaster. She combined sensitivity for the
situation with a positive manner about the significance and importance of
family vacations to support the company’s strategy of growth in the Japanese
market.

With her determined focus on cultivating the Japanese market, it was no
surprise that she launched an initiative in 2011 specifically aimed at
educating Japanese prospects. She took her iPAD on presentations and pulled it
out for show-and-tell in the field, giving prospective Owners a peek at various
destinations they can visit while she explained how our network of sites can
create a future of “dream vacations” for them.

She also devised an idea to leverage the sales she made as a tool in her
engagement with prospects. She took pictures of new owners … and showed them
off as she told stories about ownership with her prospects.

This nominee exhibits the trait that produces award-winning sales: persistence –
a determination to overcome obstacles and objections. She sets goals, regularly
tracks her performance, and works to reach or exceed them. Her presentations
are custom-adapted for each prospect, based on understanding the client’s needs
and wants.

The effect of the tsunami on this nominee’s principal market has been fewer
arrivals from Japan into Honolulu. Yet she has maintained a tour flow above
budget!

We undertook reorganization of our Japanese Owner Services Team, and this
nominee has played a role, partnering with the team to help her owners – a
synergy that has benefited the team, this nominee and her owners.
