Gala, Star-Studded Ceremony To Be Broadcast Nationwide in April 2003

New York, NY – October 23, 2002 – Providing a national stage for the unsung heroes of American business, Business TalkRadio, the leading radio network of business and financial programming nationwide, will host the national broadcast of the first annual American Business Awards in April 2003, organizers announced today.

The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. Nicknamed the SteviesTM for the Greek word "crowned," the awards will be presented at a gala, star-studded ceremony in New York City in April 2003.

Business TalkRadio airs programming on over 200 stations nationwide, including the top 50 US radio markets, reaching several million listeners daily.

"The American Business Awards are, first and foremost, about giving ordinary business people and workers the acclaim and attention they deserve," said Michael Gallagher, president of The American Business Awards. "We've created an award for the business world that will have the prestige, glamour, and the bottom-line impact of the leading entertainment industry awards, and we’re thrilled that Business TalkRadio shares that vision."

"Business is not just about stock prices," said Jeff Weber, executive vice president of Business TalkRadio. "It’s about the people behind the scenes who make products and services, and accomplish terrific things in the workplace everyday, yet rarely get recognition for it. We’re looking forward to producing an exciting and entertaining broadcast that honors and celebrates American business."
