What's New & Different for 2013

The Grand Stevie® Award

• What has traditionally been the Gold Stevie Award trophy will now be known as the Grand Stevie Award, and will be awarded only to the winners of the Best of the IBA Awards. The new Gold Stevie Award trophy will be the same size as the Silver and Bronze Stevie Award trophies. Read more about this here.

Eligibility Timeframe:

• Eligibility for the 2013 IBAs extends from 1 January 2012 through 12 June 2013, the last day that late entries will be accepted.  Nominations should cite achievements during this eligibility window.  Apps, videos, publications, live events, and other media premiered since that date are eligible to be entered.  There is no eligibility timeframe for web site entries - it doesn't matter when web sites were first published.

Entry Deadlines

• There are three entry deadlines, including an early-bird deadline by which the entry fees are discounted:
  • 10 April 2013: early-bird deadline, entry fees are discounted by $25
  • 15 May 2013: deadline
  • 12 June 2013: late entry deadline, $35/entry late fee due in addition to entry fees

New Categories:

• Events, in the App Awards Categories
• Health, Safety & Environment Program of the Year, in the Company/Organization Awards Categories
• Events & Observances, among the Campaign of the Year categories in the Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, & Public Relations Awards Categories
• Best Brand Experience Event, Best Exhibition Display, Stand or Feature, and Best Public Relations Event, in the Live Event Awards Categories
• Maverick of the Year, and Innovator of the Year, in the Management Awards Categories
• Brand Experience of the Year, and New Product or Service Introduction of the Year, in the Marketing Awards Categories
• Branded Entertainment, in the Video Awards Categories

Best of the IBA Awards

• The winners of the Best of the IBA Awards will now receive Grand Stevie Award trophies.  Learn more here.

Entry Word Limits

• The word limits for all required sections of entries have been increased by 25 words, but in most cases the word limits are now technically imposed - you won't be able to submit more than the limit.
