Microsoft® has transformed new hire employee training for sales, marketing, and
services (SMSG) staff by replacing a traditional, classroom-based approach with
a consistent and engaging virtual experience available to all employees on
their first day at the company. In the past, newly hired global employees
attended classroom-based trainings called MS101 (these offerings posed time,
reach, and cost difficulties).
With the introduction of the Welcome Experience:
- Annual operating costs fell by $2.2 million.
- Globally accessible welcome messages from 20+ top executives and key
introductory trainings are available on day one.
- 95% of users have been satisfied/very satisfied with the Welcome
Experience.
- Reach of new hire employee training in first 90 days of employment rose
from 40 to 93 per cent of new hires.
