PACCAR’s continued success emanates from the integrity and dedication of its
20,500 employees worldwide. PACCAR was recognized in 2004 with the
International Stevie Award for Best Multinational Company in the first-ever
International Business Awards.

As PACCAR’s Chairman, Mr. Pigott’s passion for producing products that are
highly customized and well-engineered with exceptionally high standards of quality
is reflected in the companies continued success.  PACCAR had the best year in
its history reporting record revenues and net income for 2004. As PACCAR enters
its 100th year, the company continues to build on its impressive record of 66
consecutive years of net profitability and reinforcing its outstanding reputation as
one of the leading global technology companies.

Mr. Pigott was selected as one of the top ten best-performing CEOs in 2004,
receiving an A+ rating by Forbes magazine for CEO pay-versus-performance.
Forbes evaluated 194 CEOs who met the qualification criteria of a minimum of six-
year tenure as chief executive. The rankings were calculated by company stock
performance (including dividends) versus peer companies and relative to the S&P
500 Index. The final criterion was the executive’s compensation trends during the
previous years.

In its January 2005 edition, Institutional Investor magazine published their survey
which rated the best CEOs in America by business sector.  Mr. Pigott was
recognized as one of the top three CEOs in the Machinery sector. In its survey,
Institutional Investor asked portfolio managers and equity analysts to select the
best-performing executives in the business segments they analyzed throughout
the year.

Mr. Pigott was also selected as Stark’s Truck & Off-Highway Ledger’s
2004 “Manager of the Year”. Selection for this particular award involved six months of critical inquiry evaluating the individual's credentials, contributions to the
industry, in-house management success, business effectiveness and shop-floor
reputation.

PACCAR was recognized as one of America’s best performing companies by The
Wall Street Journal in early 2004.   PACCAR was named to The Wall Street
Journal’s prestigious 2003 Honor Roll list, which recognizes companies that
earned straight-A ratings, ranked on five-year average compound annual total
returns through year-end 2003. Companies also had to be in the top 20 percent of
firms evaluated for the past one, three, five and ten years to be considered for the
Honor Roll designation.

PACCAR recently made a $1 million contribution to the American Red Cross –
Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund to support humanitarian efforts for those impacted
by the Indian Ocean tsunami, which occurred in late December. PACCAR is one
of Puget Sound’s largest area philanthropists as ranked by 2003 corporate and
foundation giving.

In summary, Mr. Pigott’s accomplishments and leadership of a company with a
100-year history of producing superior quality products and year-after-year solid
financial performance are recognized by the trucking industry, the business
community and shareholders alike.
