PlateSpin is one of the new breed of start-ups that are thriving in today’s markets; focusing on solving difficult business problems with truly innovative technology. The enterprise datacenter is very complicated and difficult to manage. With shrinking budgets and increased capability expectations, datacenter managers are looking for a change. In March of 2003 PlateSpin Ltd. was founded to address these needs. Recognizing the changing trends in the datacenter – a move back to virtualization and consolidation – PlateSpin tackled the challenge of how datacenter managers could more easily leverage the benefits that these changes were promising.
PlateSpin created its Operating System Portability Technology, which allows operating systems, data, and applications to be easily moved between computers from a single point of control. As CEO and President of PlateSpin, Stephen leads the overall business strategy and product management activities for the company. Stephen is a seasoned IT veteran, with a strong history of creating products and services that exceed customer expectations. He brings over 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, development and lifecycle support of successful commercial software products in a variety of technology and market segments.
Stephen has held executive positions at FloNetwork Inc., Fulcrum Technologies (now part of Hummingbird) and NCR Corporation. Stephen is a product of Queen's University, where he studied both Math and Computing Science.
