The PSM Law Group faced a difficult task when it created its website.  It needed a
web site that was very user-friendly, fresh and youthful in appearance, consistent
with the company’s reputation for pioneering new technology, but one which still
recognises that this is a legal practice which has to represent traditional values.

Over a series of meetings/seminars with senior management and designers, a final
format was approved which has put the PSM Law Group website in a league of its
own when compared to other websites in the legal sector

Fundamental to the thinking for the site was the need to ensure that it provided an
interface with all the company’s IT services, in particular its fully web-enabled case
management system.  The result is a website that is informative, interactive and
innovative.

Other firms have computerised systems, but their clients have no access to their
case files.  A number of the UK’s leading mortgage lenders and brokers use the
PSM’s Law Group PSM Online division for their high volume conveyancing work
and each of them uniquely enjoy full, secure and unlimited internet access to view
their business at any stage – from individual transactions, or accurate snapshots
of a week’s work to complete overview of all business across the county. Whatever figures or analysis a company needs is available at the touch of a button. It also
allows those companies to instruct PSM staff over the internet.

Private clients also have 24-7 password protected access to their cases. 
Whenever there is a case development, the customer is advised by e-mail or text
message, and can view the relevant file via the internet, instead of awaiting papers
in the post.  They can also instruct PSM staff via their online case notes.
 
But even those people just calling up the site for information or help are unlikely to
leave disappointed.   Services such as property searches, virtual tours, instant
conveyancing quotes and an Ask the Lawyer facility are all readily and easily
accessible.

Evidence of the success of the website can be demonstrated by the ever-
increasing number of people who each week log on for the first time to view their
case online.
