The Siemens Innovation TV Series first aired in May 2002 although the program is
ongoing. 

This application will include information and statistics such as number of news
packages, viewership, stations reached, and budget, for the time period
September 1, 2002 thru September 1, 2003.

Briefly describe this nomination's communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

Objectives and Results:
Siemens Corporate Communications had three primary objectives: increase
awareness of Siemens brand; educate key constituencies about the company's
innovations, strengths in R&D, and infrastructure solutions; and build credibility in
newsrooms around the nation.  We enlisted Medialink to help design 90-second
news packages that are business and consumer-oriented.  In the one year time
period, we produced 34 unique stories that reached 206,127,117 million viewers on 6,962 broadcasts across the country.  The stories reached Siemens' primary
markets and strengthened Siemens corporate communicators' relationships with
broadcast producers.

Medialink was the production company used for the Siemens Innovation TV
Series.  Due to the large volume of stories and the uniqueness of each
package, the production team varied on each news package produced.
The lead producers of the TV series were Paula Davis, Director of Public
Relations, Siemens Corporation, and Kate Epstein, Producer, Medialink.
