Rosemary Haefner is Vice President of Human Resources for CareerBuilder.com, the nation's largest online job site, with more than 23 million unique visitors and over 1.6 million jobs. Rosemary is responsible for developing and implementing global strategies for employee engagement, talent management, organizational design, recruiting, benefits, and community outreach. In this role, Rosemary conducts extensive research on global-recruitment trends and tactics, job-seeker behavior, workplace issues, employee attitudes, and HR initiatives.
Drawing on her more than 15 years of extensive HR experience and research, Rosemary is an employment expert who regularly addresses a variety of industry forums. She is a frequent guest on national television (Fox News, CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Fox Business Network, CNN, The Early Show on CBS, etc.) and radio (NPR, CBS Marketwatch, etc.) programs to discuss the state of the job market, hiring practices, and a multitude of workplace issues.
Under Rosemary’s leadership, CareerBuilder.com has received numerous employment-focused accolades including BusinessWeek's “Best Places to Launch a Career 2007,” Chicago Magazine’s “Top 25 Best Places to Work in Chicago,” and Atlanta Business Chronicle's “Atlanta's Best Places to Work 2006.” Rosemary also received the Stevie Award for Best Human Resources Executive in the 2008 American Business Awards. Before joining CareerBuilder.com, Rosemary headed up the Midwest Region’s Employee Services team for RCN Corporation. Prior to this, she served as Vice President of Human Resources for AGENCY.COM, and as a Senior Human Resources Consultant at McGladrey & Pullen. Rosemary has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
