Nomination Title: "Comin' right up" at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

1. The date in 2006 on which this nominated campaign was first run, aired, or otherwise made public:

November 22, 2006

2. Briefly describe this entry’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

A company logo, two colors and some directional copy: a simple way to inform
travelers that a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store location was just a few
miles down the road. For years, this approach defined the family dining
restaurant’s outdoor advertising, but research indicated it was time for a
change.

In 2006, Cracker Barrel introduced the "Comin’ right up" campaign on 1,500
billboards nationwide. Bold & colorful photography of Cracker Barrel
favorites (pancakes, vegetables, biscuits, cornbread, candy and checkerboards)
showcased the company’s authentic country heritage.

The product-driven campaign received significant national exposure through
media placements and financial analyst briefings.
