Introducing the Grand Stevie Award

The Stevie® Award trophy is one of the world's most coveted prizes.  Since 2002 the Gold Stevie Award has been conferred for achievement in business to organizations and individuals in more than 60 nations.

In 2012, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the start of the Stevie Awards movement, we introduced Silver and Bronze Stevie Awards.

In 2013 we are proud to introduce the Grand Stevie Award trophy, which will be awarded to only a handful of organizations in each of our four competitions.  (In the ABAs, it will be awarded to the Best of the ABA Award winners.)  The 2013 Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service will be the last competition in which the traditional Gold Stevie Award trophy will conferred.  After that, beginning with The 2013 American Business Awards, the traditional Gold Stevie trophy will become the Grand Stevie.  The new Gold Stevie Award trophy will be smaller - the same size as the Silver and Bronze Stevies.

In each Stevie Awards competition, the top scoring qualifying entry in each category will receive a Gold Stevie Award.  Finalists that receive a final average score of at least 8.0 out of a possible 10 will be designated as Silver Stevie winners.  All other Finalists will be designated as Bronze Stevie winners.

Gold Stevie winners will automatically receive a Gold Stevie trophy.  Silver and Bronze Stevie winners will automatically receive a Silver or Bronze medal, signifying their win, and will have the option to purchase their Stevie trophy.

About the Stevie Award

The name Stevie is taken from the name Stephen, which is derived from the Greek for "crowned."

The Grand Stevie is approximately 16 inches tall, and is hand-cast and finished in 24-karat gold.

The crystal pyramid held aloft by Stevie represents the hierarchy of human needs, a system often represented as a pyramid that was developed in the 1960s by psychologist Abraham Maslow, who observed that after their basic needs are met, human beings seek the esteem of their peers.
