Nomination Title: Celebrating 75 Years of Discoveries

   1. The date in 2004 on which this nominated production was first distributed or otherwise made public:

May 6, 2004

   2. Briefly describe this nomination’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):

The Jackson Laboratory is the world's largest genetic research institute, where
breakthroughs in understanding and treating disease are made, young scientists
receive valuable training, and research tools are developed.  The Laboratory has
a highly skilled, devoted employee base and a long history of connection with
local residents in a small town.

For the Laboratory's 75th anniversary, we produced this film to celebrate our
employees - from world-renowned scientists to entry-level assistants - and to
honor the Laboratory's profound contributions to health and science.  We also
explored the Laboratory's relationship to the rugged Main island that has been
its home since 1929.
