Main Objective: Receive quality hits
The new ABG site receives approximately 10,000 hits per month. Of those hits, ABG is looking for 3-4 new clients each year. Meaning the quality of hits is more important than quantity, which flies in the face of traditional thoughts on promotion. In the site redesign, the ABG team took special care to craft language that would encourage only customers that met its business criteria to contact the company.
To date, this strategy has been especially effective. The volume of feedback has decreased by 35 percent and the quality of the contacts has dramatically improved.
“We used to get emails from people who painted 6-10 rocks each year and wondered if we could help them distribute them. Now we get leads from large, international companies who clearly understand our business and how we can help them,” said Randy Osmun, Marketing Manager for ABG.
