Nomination Title: Partnership & Integration between OnSIP and Panasonic

Tell the story about this nominated achievement since January 1 2012 (up to 525 words). Focus on specific accomplishments, and relate these accomplishments to past performance or industry norms. Be sure to mention obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, and outcomes:

We nominate the integration and partnership between OnSIP, a small software company headquartered in Manhattan, and Panasonic, a global electronic product manufacturer, for Business Innovation of the Year.

As business telephony technology evolves, small and medium sized businesses are leaning toward the most affordable and advanced choice: hosted VoIP. However, businesses are now immersed in a sea of options, faced with hundreds of phone service providers and dozens of IP phone brands to pair with them. Questions of service and phone interoperability arise.

Together this year, OnSIP® Hosted VoIP and Panasonic® System Communications Company of North America have innovated a hybrid solution to keep it simple for channel partners and end customers. On February 19, 2013, Panasonic announced OnSIP as one of the first Panasonic SIP Hosted Preferred Partners.

To maintain its position as the leader in small business telephone systems, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America must always be on the cutting edge of business communications technologies. After identifying their SMB customers’ need for a hosted VoIP solution, Panasonic found OnSIP, a small but rapidly growing hosted voice over IP company based out of New York.

OnSIP provides enterprise-grade VoIP service to over 20,000 business customers. Panasonic recognized OnSIP’s unique patent-pending SIP communications platform. OnSIP’s horizontally-scaled, distributed delivery model allows for superior service reliability, redundancy, and optimum performance.

OnSIP and Panasonic have worked together through testing and development to make Panasonic phones work seamlessly on the OnSIP service. The two companies have also developed comprehensive support programs for the Panasonic reseller network to deliver the bundled solution to end customers.

According to Bill Savino, Marketing Manager for Business Communication Solutions at Panasonic, “The benefits of hosted SIP phone systems are especially compelling for SMBs where every dollar counts and productivity is a priority. Working with OnSIP… in conjunction with our highly trained BTS Business Telephone System reseller community, offers the affordability, flexibility, rich features, and ongoing support businesses across the country are looking for in a hosted PBX offering.”

By combining OnSIP’s cutting-edge SIP platform and Panasonic’s award-winning phones and hardware, the two companies are able to create a simple, reliable product offering that is much more powerful than the sum of its parts.

For that reason, we nominate the integration of OnSIP and Panasonic for Business Innovation of the Year.
