SpigitEngage, Spigit’s flagship, enterprise-grade product, activates crowds and sparks ideas on a scale otherwise impossible by integrating emergent social collaboration with traditional workflow and analytics. It transforms antiquated, siloed R&D models to create a new paradigm to solve business challenges, enabling employees and consumers to collaborate and contribute ideas on new revenue streams and products, sustainability, reducing costs, or whatever transformation an organization is seeking. Major corporations including Allstate and JC Penny use Spigit to effectively leverage the collective intelligence of their workforce through topic-specific contests and open innovation communities.

At the heart of SigitEngage are game dynamics such as virtual currency, leaderboards and idea trading markets. Spigit incorporates the psychology of entertainment and gaming to motivate end-users to continue their engagement.

Then, through automated stage graduation and social algorithms, the platform is able to simultaneously analyze and graduate ideas, ensuring that the best ideas mature and rise above the noise to reach the right decision-makers for implementation.

In the latest iteration of SpigitEngage, 3.3.1, users are now able to collaborate and innovate more efficiently – when and how they work. Spigit focuses on usability, with interface updates that allow users and decision-makers to interactively visualize ideas, literally seeing how they “stack-up” against the competition. And, in addition to integrations with Microsoft SharePoint and Jive, SpigitEngage continues down a platform-agnostic path with Yammer and Chatter partnerships, allowing for easy access to ongoing dialogue, enhanced employee engagement and cross-company communication. With new integrations and more sophisticated psychological and game dynamics, Spigit provides a platform for internal innovation communities, and in return companies uncover the incremental and game-changing innovations needed to stay competitive.

The success of SpigitEngage is easy to see. Last year Spigit reported a 94 percent year-over-year revenue growth and 132 percent growth in bookings – largely as a result of SpigitEngage. Spigit is used by over 16 percent of Fortune 500 companies, and by 25 percent of Fortune 100 companies. With nearly 6,000,000 total users and 200 clients, Spigit continues to grow spearheaded by the success of SpigitEngage. In fact, over the next few years the Company plans to capitalize on its growth and expand its presence in Europe and the APAC.

SpigitEngage was co-developed by Lisa Purvis and Hutch Carpenter. Lisa Purvis serves as SVP Product and Research & Development at Spigit. Lisa is responsible for setting the strategic product roadmap for capabilities and next dimensions of Spigit to ensure that customer needs are addressed, new opportunity spaces are captured, and Spigit maintains and augments its technology leadership position.

Hutch Carpenter is the Vice President of product at Spigit. Hutch’s primary focus is on great user experience and value-added features around three core elements: community, analytics and workflow.
