The redesign of Teslamotors.com represents a significant departure from the
site’s previously dark and mysterious look. It represents the company’s new
branding and the change to a light, airy design mirrors the shift towards a
consumer-focused approach as the company scales to mass-market. It provides a
clear framework to demystify, rather than obscure, the benefits of Tesla’s
unprecedented technology. The goal of the site’s simple information architecture
is to invite visitors to quickly identify the content they want to explore. The
site, built on open-source platform Drupal, provides flexibility for future
