To increase the number of college accounting graduates and enhance young peoples’ perception of the CPA profession, the AICPA launched a long-term, integrated multiple-media Student Recruitment Campaign, Start Here. Go Places.
StartHereGoPlaces.com, the hub of the campaign, actively engages students to learn about the profession through myriad useful resources; compelling business simulations; CPA profiles and reality environments; promotions; interview tips; scholarship information; and a personality test, among others. Since campaign launch, more than 1 million students have responded, and more than 500,000 students have registered on the website. The campaign has helped position accounting as the new number one college major nationwide.
