Nomination Title: Zookeeper: Journal of the Dallas Zoological Society
- The date on which this nominated material was first distributed or otherwise made public:
Spring, 2007
- Briefly describe this entry’s communications objectives and how it met those objectives (up to 100 words):
Our task was to take the new Zoo brand that we developed from a logo/business card/letterhead system to all marketing elements of the Zoo. This included the park, the map, and their membership magazine: Zookeeper.
The oversized magazine, the illustrations of the animals, the vibrant colors and the font system are now more appealing than the original 8.5” x 11” paper version produced on desktop.
The overall re-branding and marketing effort of the Dallas Zoo has resulted in their highest attendance ever being recorded in 2007. The membership magazine is a major contributor to this effort.
